Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties: Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, schedule appointments and cases, and manage phone calls with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Patient Rooming & Clinical Support: Assist in rooming patients, taking and recording vitals, and ensuring they are prepared for their visit.
Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance coverage, secure prior authorizations, and communicate clearly with patients regarding insurance policies, co-pays, and payment collection.
Communication: Provide professional and empathetic communication in both English and Spanish to support diverse patient needs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Multitasking & Time Management: Handle multiple tasks efficiently, including patient flow, administrative documentation, and scheduling demands, while prioritizing quality and accuracy.
Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to medical office policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to deliver seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
Proven experience in a medical office setting handling both front office and back office responsibilities.
Proficiency in insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and payment collection.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a high degree of reliability, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to maintain professional and compassionate communication under pressure.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic clerical duties such as data entry and documentation.
